Dental Care for Children and Young Adults that Sets Us Apart
In addition to using the most advanced techniques, our pediatric specialists are on staff at Loyola University Medical Center and Ann and Robert Lurie Children’s Hospital. They provide special care to medically compromised patients and work very closely with the patient’s medical experts. Patients with Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Developmental Delay, Cardiac Defects, Neurologic disorders, or any other medical condition receive advanced preventive and sophisticated cosmetic dental care. Even orthodontic treatment is routinely performed, treating all patients with respect, and helping maintain self-dignity.

Dr. Mark Cannon is a member of the Special Care Dentistry Association and has presented at their Annual Meeting. He is also well recognized for his compassionate and complete dental care of patients with Epidermolysis Bullosa, having also presented at the national DEBRA meeting (Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Association).
Associated Dental Specialists of Long Grove orthodontic care encompasses full orthodontic care but also includes preventive and interceptive orthodontic treatment. Invisalign, Clear Correct, Realine and other clear aligners are also available. Dental bleaching is often requested, especially post-orthodontic treatment, and the specialists of ADSLG utilize the latest in bleaching technique, a calcium peroxide. This patented technique provides not only for a very cosmetic result, even in young people, but does so with minimal sensitivity. The calcium may even reverse small cavities, preventing future fillings. Indeed, the calcium peroxide reduces the number of oral bacteria responsible for cavities, gum disease and those linked with heart disease and other medical disorders.
